OneDrum and the Viking Row experience (the "Service", at onedrum.io and onedrum.nick-kovac.workers.dev) are a technology demonstration operated by Nick Kovac. By using the Service you accept these terms.
1. What the Service is
The Service is provided for demonstration, evaluation and entertainment purposes. It is an early prototype; features, scoring rules and data may change, reset or disappear at any time without notice, and the Service may be suspended or discontinued at any time.
2. No warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including, without limitation, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability and non-infringement. Timing measurement on consumer devices is inherently approximate; no representation is made that any score, measurement or certification is error-free.
3. Scores and "certification"
A "certified" score means only that the server accepted the recorded inputs under the scoring rules in force at the time, as described in the verification notes. The cryptographic signature attests to the integrity of the score payload, not to its fitness for any purpose. Scores must not be relied upon for wagering, gambling, contests of material value, employment, medical, or any other consequential use.
4. Acceptable use
Play with your own honest thumbs. Automated, scripted or replayed input, and any attempt to forge, spoof or interfere with scoring, sessions or other players, is prohibited (and is, in fairness, what the anti-spoof layer is there to catch).
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator shall not be liable for any damages arising out of or in connection with use of the Service, and total aggregate liability shall not exceed zero (the amount you paid to use it). Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
6. Privacy
The Service has no accounts and sets no cookies. It records anonymous gameplay data — tap timing relative to the clip, a coarse device class (e.g. "ios-safari"), session identifiers and aggregate usage counters — used to operate the game (including replaying completed runs as an anonymous "ghost crowd") and to improve scoring. No name, email, precise location or advertising identifier is collected.
7. Intellectual property
All rights in the Service, its software, designs, names and marks (OneDrum, Viking Row) are reserved. No licence — including no patent licence — is granted by making the Service available or by any accompanying publication.
8. Changes
These terms may be updated from time to time; the version at this URL is the current one. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
